How much does it cost if I wish to transfer my domain name away from 1on1 Names?

You can transfer your domain for free!

Provided there are no outstanding amounts due to 1on1 Names you may transfer the Domain Name to another party at any time, at no cost.

Note: Payments can take up to 48 hours to be confirmed. Obviously if you transfer the name elsewhere we will not be able to provide forwarding services, and these services will cease.
We will not charge you to transfer your domain name. Please bear in mind though your new hosts may charge a fee.

Are there any hidden costs in your prices?

No , no , no, there are no hidden costs. Our prices are clearly stated on this website and the price that you see is the price you will pay - INCLUSIVE!

We have no hidden set up fees, no extra charges for web and email forwarding, no yearly admin fee's and no fee to transfer your domain name away.

1on1 Names would NEVER mislead a client with regards to our prices.

Who will bill me after the initial registration period?

After your intial two years renewal is due. If you bought the name through us, and if we still host the domain name when it comes time to renew, then we will send you an invoice for the domain name.

Of course we can't guarantee at the moment what that fee will be in two years time, but we certainly don't expect it to be any more than the current charge. But, let's face it you've nothing to lose... let's say we decide that we're going to charge £50 (which we won't!) to renew your domain name after the initial registration period. It's your domain name so if you don't like our renewal handling charge you simply move to another domain name host and pay the NIC fee direct. If you have moved the domain name away from us, your new ISP will deal with the renewal.

Do 1on1 Names use banner ads on customers pages?

NO. Many low cost services around the net reduce fees by selling banner ads which are displayed across your pages. We believe that the decision to promote another company is yours and not ours. We do not and would not encroach on your space in this way.

Why can't I just contact the official Naming Agency Direct and register a name myself?

You can. The cost for individuals registering a .uk name is normally £80 per 2 years. Quite a saving if you register your name through us! Also remember you will need at least two computers permanently connected to the internet, configured as name servers. Most people find that even if they have the expertise and resources, the cost of setting this up usually far exceeds the relatively low cost of our doing it for you, as it's all included in our price!

Why do you not advertise your domain names at a lower price and add the extra's on later?

We would never mislead a possible client with hidden extra's!

We wouldn't be very successful in retaining clients, or indeed receiving recommendations if we operated in this manner. We believe that the consumer should know exactly what they are receiving for their outlay and we strive to emphasise this on our website.

The price that you see advertised on this website is the price that you will actually pay. It is impossible for us to charge for anything else as there are no other services that we can possibly provide for you, they are ALL included in the price!
